The architecture of light
To create and form architecture and design through light – this is the key idea of emdelight®.
Technically, light in architecture and design was limited to an additional funcionality of illumination. However, the artist's goal is not surface illumination of buildings but the creation of a real illuminated appearance making the structure and philosophy of a building visible also at night. In his opinion, this can only be consequently realized if the light itself becomes an integral part of architecture and the material glows from within.
Not light art for buildings, but building through and with light.
emdelight combines technical competence and artistic know-how as the crucial motor of development and innovation: emdelight is innovative manufacturer as well as creative partner. Therefore, emdelight intends to work closely with architects, owners and designers in the early planning and developing stages in order to develop integral light concepts.
